Every developer writes a to-do app. This one is mine.
I wanted a list that works the way my editor does. Every action has a key, nothing asks me what I meant, and the only animation is the moment something gets done.
So you type a line and it becomes a task. #work files it, !high flags it, friday dates it, and a pasted pull request link stays attached, so getting back to the branch is one click. Notes take Markdown, because that is how I write everything else.
It's free. You make an account so your list follows you from one machine to the next, and that's the whole arrangement.
The name comes from the bird. A cardinal is hard to miss, and red is a good colour for the thing you should do next. Cardinal Task has a sibling, cardinalrelease.com.
